The creator behind the camera:

Evan Liu

Hi, I’m Evan, a photographer who captures life as it happens. I love exploring new places on foot with my camera. For me, photography is a way to slow down, be present, and share the experiences that make life interesting.

My journey into photography was shaped by my childhood. Living in a household where both of my parents were architects, they brought a camera with them wherever we went. They were always focused on the balance between humans and objects, shadows and light, shape and form. They captured the way people naturally interacted with the spaces around them, and in doing so, they taught me to see the world differently. Their photographs were more than just images; they were reminders of art in the subtleties and everyday life — moments that would otherwise go unnoticed.

This early exposure to the art of seeing has had a lasting influence on my work. As an adult, I’ve carried that same approach with me, capturing the dynamic relationships between people, their environment, and the spaces they inhabit. My street photography aims to tell stories about life in motion — the interplay of light and shadow, the unnoticed moments, and the subtle beauty of everyday interactions.

Photography, for me, is a way to pause, reflect, and be present in the moment. It’s my way of savoring the world before it slips away, and inviting others to experience it with me. Through my images, I hope to share that sense of connection and discovery — the hidden beauty that lies within the ordinary.

Thank you for visiting my site. If my work resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Let’s explore the world together, one frame at a time.
